Phase I
Jan 2015 to Dec 2016
During phase one we’re repairing the building and remodeling the Sanctuary to house the Alternative Library. This involves getting the building up to code, repairing the foundation and walls, adding in bathrooms and water fountain. We’re almost done!
Phase II
Jan 2017+
We will be embarking on a series of renovations to convert the Karate Church into a living building. The challenge is adding renwable energy systems for heating and electricity generation while preserving the historic architecture. We will also be doing a Permaculture Design for integrating the surrounding landscape and topology with the building and water catchment systems.
